– In this lesson I’ve learned that is a great to know and study this past of ancient people because it enables us to develop better understanding of the world in which we live. Building knowledge and understanding of historical events and trends, especially over the past century, and it enables us to develop a much greater appreciation for current events today. The important thing I’ve learned is that a person should not be afraid to go beyond the norm instead try to explore and embrace the things that technology provide in order for us to improve our learning process. Despite the adversity of ancient people back then it is not hindrance for them to use their talents and capabilities to discover and created those significant inventions that still in used today. Because of this lesson I realized that you should not do things for the sake of only doing it but rather do it because you know that can help you in your development as a student and a whole person and eventually could also benefit the people around you.
* What is the importance of this lesson to you as a student
– The importance of Science, Technology and Society to me as a student is that it molds to be more ready and to take the track of this adventure whatever it takes. As a student from High School up to now I have realized important it is to absorb new knowledge and know revelations. Brought me impact that surely be use as my weapon to strive more and reach the goal after this adventure. New things has been added, past learning is more easy to tackle and absorb thru enhancement and I am able to make and use it as mu stepping stone to fight for the future Science and Technology.
* What ideas or concepts made you realized that the introduction of S and T has a big impact to you as a student
– I am very thankful to the introduction of science and technology for me as a student. It brought a big impact when it comes to discoveries and revelation of a thing. In which it also gave us the resemblance of hope and wisdom in order for us students to nurture our minds with new learnings and help us know , discover, and think more out of the box that will surely help us to grow more and dig more knowledge so that we are able to stock up more knowledge and prepares us whatever will science and technology bring that will be used and empowers us in the near future.
* Other matters you want to include ( experiences at most )
– We have always talked about relationships. Relationships are critical for us. Let’s talk about our relationship where we are spending most of our time. We use it for everything cooking, traveling, getting directions, buying, going out for a date( or food or with friends/family), education. With our devices or in general technology.We spend most of our time approximately 8 hours a day on our devices. That is more time than we spend with our family, partner, children or anyone else. Like in any other relationship we need to define where we need to stop. But here it is way more difficult as we are not dealing with humans. If you want to avoid a human being you can just move out, change the city or whatever but with technology you cannot. It is everywhere. The skill we need to develop now more than ever is willpower and contentment.
I believe we need to understand what we really want or crave for and strive for making it happen. Technology is just a substitute for it.
Lesson 2: Major Requirement

– I’ve learned the different intellectual revolution, it’s definition and how it is useful to the shift of paradigm. Specially those activities included help me to figure out different intellectual revolutions like Copernican, Darwinian and Freudian, and other intellectual revolutions that shape the society. In addition, Intellectual Revolutions as the historical changes in thoughts, beliefs and social institutions due to new ideas and principles. It may also refer to the historical period when science become more important and influential during the Middles Ages. As a student who study the intellectual revolution I’ve learned about some of the important people during this time period. Also, about some of the important ideas about society that were being discussed at the time and why this people thought these ideas were so important.
* What is the importance of this lesson to you as a student
– The importance of this lesson to me as a student is that help me to expand my knowledge and fully understand a glimpse of concept on STS historical development. It also make me appreciate the various contributions of some selected great civilizations found on the world that adds transformation to the science and technology that build significant changes to the heart of the society.
* What ideas or concepts made you realized that being able to come up with these intellectual revolutions aid in the development of the society
– The idea concept made me realized that being able to come up these intellectual revolutions aids in the development of the society are the concept of democracy, freedom and tolerance. It talks about how enlightened thinkers helped form these ideas into reality. The ideals of freedom and democracy came from John Locke’s idea that people can consent to be ruled by government their own safety and happiness.
